RQ Distinguished Fellow Award
Since RQ12 (2005) there is a tradition that the RQ International Advisory Committee selects one or more scientists for the RQ Distinguished Fellow Award. This award recognizes highly distinguished career-long contributions. Because the previous RQ conference was held six years ago, this time we expect two or more scientists to be awarded.
The names of the awardees will be announced at the banquet.
Previous recipients:
RQ12 2005 | Jeju Island, Korea | David Turnbull, Robert W. Cahn, Tsuyoshi Masumoto |
RQ13 2008 | Dresden, Germany | Ho-Su Chen |
RQ14 2011 | San Salvador, Brazil | Srinivasa Ranganathan |
RQ15 2014 | Shanghai, China | Frans Spaepen, Paul Hideo Shingu |
RQ16 2017 | Leoben, Austria | Dieter M. Herlach, Hans Warlimont |
ISMANAM Awards
Continuing the ISMANAM tradition, the Steering Committee will select two scientists for awards ― one for the ISMANAM 27 Senior Scientist Award and one for the ISMANAM 27 Young Scientist Award.
The Alain Reza Yavari Senior Scientist Award recognizes a scientist with recent research leadership, ground-breaking results, and/or a highly distinguished career-long contribution.
The Young Scientist Award will be presented to an outstanding participating scientist who is not older than 35 at the time of the conference.
The names of potential candidates may be put forward by any participant.
Two Poster Awards will also be awarded during the conference.
The names of all the awardees will be announced at the banquet.
